Last month at the DREM Impact Luncheon, there was a panel of three men…Jason, Mike and John. They were asked various questions by Matthew relative to their walk with the Lord and involvement with DREM. The last question was; “If you could, what advice would you give to your 25 year-old self?” Each expressed different things. All good!

At the end, I was asked to close in prayer. When I went to the podium, I took the opportunity to also address that question. My advice would be that which is set out in the following verse, it being my adopted life verse. “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” (Mt. 6.33).

Why would that be my answer? Because in the context of the event, they were addressing their various roles in family, business and ministry. The Spirit had laid out in the previous several verses the necessary things for abundant living, mostly physical. They are…food, clothing and shelter. Basics in our everyday life. Most of us work hard to provide these.

Look at what it says. Seek first (daily) the Lord and his righteousness (seek HIM). Then the Spirit promises that all these necessary items will be added to you. So, what are you seeking, and how are you going about it? This life verse is your most valuable answer, but it requires faith. You do your part, seek Him, and he is more than willing and able to do his! Trust him, daily! You are going to love the results! I can testify to it. Amazing!!!
